Reading Taekwon-Do runs ITF Taekwon-Do martial arts classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening at Kings Academy, Honey End Lane, Reading RG30 4EL.

Classes are open to all grades  from absolute beginners stepping onto the mat for the first time through to experienced black belts looking to sharpen their technique and deepen their knowledge of ITF Taekwon-Do.

Junior Martial Arts Classes — Coming Soon

A dedicated junior martial arts class for ages 6–8 will be launching soon, running 6:00pm–7:00pm on the same evenings.

What Happens in a Martial Arts Class?

​

Every martial arts class at Reading Taekwon-Do is structured and purposeful, typically covering:

​

• Warm up — dynamic movement, mobility and conditioning work with intention behind every exercise

• Patterns (Tul) — the foundation of ITF Taekwon-Do, developing precision, power and memory of technique

• Sparring — controlled, safe and progressive contact work developing timing, distance and composure under pressure

• Self defence — practical, effective techniques drawn from the ITF syllabus

• Conditioning — strength and flexibility work specific to Taekwon-Do performance

No two sessions are identical. Martial arts classes are varied, fast paced and genuinely enjoyable, whether you're eight weeks in or eight years in.

Kings Academy Prospect is located on Honey End Lane in the Tilehurst area of Reading, RG30 4EL.

The venue is accessible by car with parking available on site, and is reachable from Tilehurst, Southcote, Calcot, Caversham and across the wider Reading and Berkshire area.
